About Caelys
A platform born out of a conviction, before becoming a necessity.
It all began with a simple aim: to train our own advisers to AFA certification, to broaden everyone’s knowledge. This was even before the certification became compulsory. We did it because we saw it as a real benefit for our teams and our clients, not because we were required to do so by law.
The question was how to go about it. The available resources weren’t up to scratch: content that was no longer entirely up to date, and a learning process that relied almost entirely on reading textbooks. It’s difficult to retain anything under such conditions, and even harder to know exactly where you stand. So we built a very basic tool for internal use. It has grown over time, enriched by the knowledge of several staff members who were already certified.
Then, in 2026, certification became compulsory. The nature of the requirement changed: what had previously been a voluntary process became essential, both for our advisers and for the profession as a whole. We had to work twice as hard.
With each new version, the tool has evolved into what it is today: exam-style practice papers, practical case studies, a revision plan that highlights the chapters requiring further work, and progress tracking module by module. What we originally developed for our advisers, we are now making available to everyone preparing for the same certification.
An independent platform
Caelys is published by a private Swiss organisation. We are not affiliated with any official body, and we do not award any qualifications: certification is awarded by the official body following its own examination. Our role is limited to helping you prepare, and that is already a great deal.
